The IQ-Net programme of applied research and debate is centred on a bi-annual conference for network members. Papers are prepared by EPRC as the basis for discussion at each meeting, bringing together comparative experience from across the EU. These include regular updates of progress with the programmes and in-depth reports on specific themes (e.g. evaluation and monitoring, State aid and Cohesion policy programmes, the use of financial instruments, Smart Specialisation strategies).
Preparations for the 49th IQ-Net Conference are ongoing. Information on the conference preparations will be updated in due course.
Previous IQ-Net Conferences have been hosted virtually and in different parts of Europe including in Delft (the Netherlands), Helsinki (Finland), Bilbao (Spain), Leoben, Semmering, Schloss Seggau, Krems and Vienna (Austria), Antwerp, Brussels and Grobbendonk (Belgium), Zagreb (Croatia), Prague (Czech Republic), Aalborg and East Jutland (Denmark), Oulu and Tampere (Finland), Bordeaux and Strasbourg (France), Aachen, Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen, Magdeburg and Saarbrücken (Germany), Athens (Greece), Como and Artimino (Italy), Gdańsk and Katowice (Poland), Algarve and Norte (Portugal), Laško (Slovenia), Åre, Fyrstad and Luleå (Sweden) and Glasgow, Cardiff, Cheshire, New Lanark, Newcastle upon Tyne, Stirlingshire and Swansea (UK).
