New Journal Edition on new directions in Central and East European Regional Policy

21 October 2013

The October edition of the journal "Europe Asia Studies" includes a section guest edited by EPRC's Martin Ferry and Irene McMaster and entitled"Between Growth and Cohesion: New Directions in Central and East European Regional Policy".

Following an introduction by Martin Ferry and Irene McMaster, a range of articles explore various issues around the development and evolution of regional policy in Central and Eastern Europe. The articles include one by Martin Ferry, "Implementing Regional Policy in Poland: A New Era?", which addresses the issue of whether a new model of policy implementation is emerging in the country.

A further article, by Martin Ferry and Irene McMaster, Cohesion Policy and the Evolution of Regional Policy in Central and Eastern Europe, considers the extent to which domestic regional policy in the Central East European EU Member States has been subsumed into cohesion policy approaches.
