01 November 2013

As part of an evaluation of financial instruments in Lombardia, Italy, and contributing to the on-going evaluation of the Lombardia Competitiveness ROP by Gruppo CLAS (Milan), EPRC has been contracted to carry out a study providing an assessment of financial instruments for business development in Cohesion policy.

This comprised an overview of the use of financial instruments for business development, a review of the types of instruments and structures used, and the advantages and disadvantages of various approaches, as well as an assessment of the extent to which the use of financial instruments has been affected by the crisis.
