IQ-Net Special Report: Added Value of the Structural Funds

01 January 2003

IQ-Net is currently addressing the topical issue of the value added of the Structural Funds.

The network has published its study on added value to contribute to the current debate on the future of EU regional and cohesion policy. This debate is gaining momentum with the preparation of the Third Cohesion Report which is now underway.

EPRC prepared an initial paper which was discussed at a one-day seminar in Brussels on 12 June. The outcome of this seminar has been incorporated into a final report which is available on the IQ-Net website here and disseminated directly to a wide range of European bodies.

The IQ-Net contribution is not a lobbying document but rather a practical consideration of the value added of the Structural Funds, past, present and future, combining the direct programming experience of partners and the long-term comparative research of the EPRC.
