EPRC is launching a new research project on the implications of demographic ageing for regional policy.
In the context of an ageing population and workforce in many European countries, the study will examine the policy thinking about the implications for regional development and regional policy at European, national and regional/local levels and will assess the policies, strategies and instruments being developed in response to the challenges being faced.
Led by Dr Martin Ferry and Professor John Bachtler, the study is being sponsored by a consortium of government departments and age-concern organisations.
