26th Annual Meeting of EPRC's EoRPA Regional Policy Research Consortium

05 October 2005

The 26th annual meeting of the European Policies Research Centre's EoRPA Research Consortium took place at Strathclyde University's country house, Ross Priory, from 2 to 4 October 2005.

The Consortium consists of regional policy departments and agencies from nine European countries which provide funding for comparative research into regional policy developments in Europe undertaken by EPRC.

Five main papers were presented at the meeting: One was on recent developments in regional policy across EU25 (by Douglas Yuill, building on country reports produced by an EPRC team (Sara Davies, Martin Ferry, Tobias Gross, Frederike Gross, Carlos Mendez, Irene McMaster, Nina Quiogue, Douglas Yuill) and associate researchers in Denmark and Greece (Henrik Halkier, George Petrakos and Yannis Psycharis).

A second paper was on the forthcoming regional aid guidelines (by Fiona Wishlade); a third was on regional policy and innovation (by John Bachtler, Douglas Yuill and Sara Davies), again building on country research by the above EPRC team); and a final paper was on Cohesion policy developments (by John Bachtler and Fiona Wishlade).
