Douglas Yuill and Heidi Vironen co-authored an invited paper, 'Regional Policy, Urban Areas and Innovation: A Policy Review', which Douglas Yuill presented at a meeting of senior urban policy officials held at Lappeenranta, Finland, as part of the Finnish Presidency.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives from 18 countries as well as by the European Commission, is part of a series of such meetings which will continue under the German Presidency in Leipzig next May.
The paper is one of a number of papers which the Finnish Ministry of the Interior has published in a discussion paper of urban developments during Finland's EU Presidency : 'Cities making a competitive and liveable Europe'.
