As part of an international consortium led by the Italian Department for Equal Opportunities and IRS, EPRC is undertaking a project on female participation and equal opportunities principles in local development processes.
The project : funded by the Community Framework Strategy on Gender Equality (Decision No. 1554/2005/EC) - entails the undertaking of case studies from four EU MS (Italy, Malta, Spain and the UK) and the development of an 'intervention model' to enhance female participation in local development processes and to define an integrated approach to gender mainstreaming in local development processes.
