New Project: The Impact of Structural Funds in Scotland

19 December 2006

EPRC has won a tender to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the operation and impact of the main European Structural Funds programmes in Scotland between 1994 and 2006.

The study has been commissioned by the Enterprise and Culture Committee of the Scottish Parliament which is seeking to understand better the effectiveness of Structural Funds spending in Scotland.

Led by Dr Sara Davies, the EPRC research team will review evaluation and implementation reports to identify the performance of the programmes on the basis of both quantitative and qualitative indicators. It will also assess the effects of a number of major Structural Funds' projects across Scotland which are seen to provide evidence of good practice.
