John Bachtler gave an invited presentation on 1 December to the EIB Knowledge Institute Seminar Series in Luxembourg on the subject of 'research findings on the effectiveness of Cohesion policy'. The presentation examined the long-term achievements of Cohesion policy over the 1989-2012 period in 15 case-study regions of the EU15, focusing on the relevance, effectiveness and utility of ERDF-funded regional development strategies.
