New Publication: Does Devolution Increase Accountability? Empirical Evidence from the Implementation of European Union Cohesion Policy

12 February 2015

An article by Laura Polverari, Senior Research Fellow at EPRC, has just been published online in Regional Studies. Focusing, as a test case, on the implementation of European Union Cohesion Policy in two meso-level territorial units with recent experience of devolution, Tuscany (in Italy) and Scotland (in the UK), the paper investigates empirically whether the new, devolved institutional framework within which the policy operates is more conducive to accountability.
