New publication on evaluation and regional development

06 February 2009

Research by Dr Martin Ferry on the evaluation of a Scottish Structural Funds programme is included in a forthcoming book on the evaluation of regional development in Europe.

Drawing also on case studies from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the book, entitled 'Evaluation of Operational Programmes of Regional Development' was edited by Adam Drobniak of the Karol Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice. The book assesses the extent to which operational programmes meet specific regional conditions in their selection of priorities, objectives, measures and projects. As part of this, a chapter by Martin Ferry assessed the Lowlands and Uplands of Scotland ERDF programme 2007-2013.
