EPRC research on the Arctic in House of Lords report

27 February 2015

On 27 February The House of Lords Select Committee on the Arctic published its report 'Responding to a Changing Arctic'. The report considers the UK's options to engaging with Arctic partners and how to respond to changing conditions in the Arctic.

The UK is the Arctic's nearest neighbour and has long-standing political, economic and cultural ties with states and people in the region. EPRC evidence was included in the report, particularly focused on regional cooperation activities in the Arctic. The evidence was based on a number of research projects on Arctic regional cooperation conducted by EPRC, and findings from a major international conference, Arctic Connections, organised by EPRC in June 2014.

Further research on Arctic regional cooperation is expected to take place in 2015. View the report here.
