EPRC at international conference on evaluation 'New Methods for Cohesion Policy Evaluation: Promoting Accountability and Learning"

10 December 2009

Laura Polverari participated in the international conference 'New Methods for Cohesion Policy Evaluation: Promoting Accountability and Learning", organised by the European Commission (DG REGIO) in cooperation with the Polish Ministry for Regional Development in Warsaw on 30 November-1 December 2010. The conference was attended by 500 delegates from across the EU27: policy makers, Managing Authorities, evaluators and academics.

Laura was the rapporteur for Worskshop 3 'Revealing the causal chain' which dealt with theory driven evaluation. Chaired by Professor Frans Leuuw of Maastricht University (The Netherlands), the workshop entailed presentations by Petri Uusikylä (Net Effect Ltd., Finland), Karol Olejniczak (EUROREG, Warsaw University, Poland) and André Martinuzzi (Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, Austria). The papers presented at the conference can be accessed from the conference website here . The slides of Laura's report to the plenary can be downloaded here.
