EPRC knowledge exchange with regional policymakers from China

21 March 2011

EPRC research has been presented as part of an EU-China dialogue on regional policy.

On 21 March, Carlos Mendez gave an invited presentation on EU Cohesion policy reform directions as part of the opening day of lectures of the EU-China Policy Dialogues Support Facility (PDSF-China) on regional policy at Robert Schuman Haus in Trier, Germany.

The Policy Dialogue is a two-week training course organized on behalf of DG Regional Policy (DG Regio) and China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) (based in Bonn, Germany) for regional policy officials in China.

Carlos' presentation drew on extensive EPRC research on the design, delivery and reform directions of EU Cohesion policy conducted under the IQ-Net programme
