New EPRC project: Ex ante Evaluation of the Northern Periphery Programme

01 February 2013

Working with a Swedish partner, Kontigo AB, EPRC will carry out the ex ante evaluation of the 2014-2020 Northern Periphery Programme. The Northern Periphery Programme is a well-established INTERREG B Programme, with a programme area that covers regions across Finland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland and Norway.

The current programme aims to help peripheral and remote communities on the northern margins of Europe to develop their economic, social and environmental potential. The ex ante evaluation will be carried out by a team from EPRC and Kontigo AB, and will be led by Irene McMaster.

The evaluation will provide an external perspective on the preparation of the new programme as it is drafted with a view to further strengthening the Programme.
