The future of EU funding in Wales

25 April 2013

Rona Michie was an invited speaker at a conference on 'Funding the EU and EU Funding in Wales' held at the Novotel, Atlantic Wharf, in Cardiff on 19 April 2013.

Organised by the European Parliament Office in the UK, the conference brought together speakers from the Welsh Government, UK Parliament, European Parliament, European Commission and University of Cardiff to discuss the implications of the February European Council for the future funding of the EU, what it means for Wales and how MEPs and MPs can shape the future of the EU budget.

The conference also discussed the changes proposed to EU funding programmes, which issues still need resolution, the lessons to be learned from previous funding programmes and how the priorities for Wales can be pursued.

Speakers' presentations can be found here.
