John Bachtler was an invited speaker at an international conference on the programming and evaluation of EU Structural Funds for 2014-2020 held in Vilnius on 4-5 July 2013. Organised by the Lithuanian Ministry of Finance and the European Commission, the conference was the opening event of the the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
John Bachtler's presentation was on 'Programming for 2014-2020: the Implications for Performance', reviewing the current state-of-play of Partnership Agreements and Operational Programmes and how Member States are responding the new requirements for strategic coherence, thematic concentration and a greater results orientation.
