Glasgow City-Region Deal Webinar

29 June 2020

Multi-level perspectives

EPRC is hosting an online webinar entitled 'Glasgow City-Region Deal: Multi-level perspectives' on Zoom on 9 July 2020 (12:00-1:30pm).

The £1.13bn Glasgow City Region Deal has the potential to have a transformational effect on the area. It provides additional long-term funding for regional economic development, focuses on the city-region as a functional area, supports key investment projects and catalyses collaboration between UK, and Scottish governments, local councils and communities. These are crucial facets given the challenges posed by the COVID-19 emergency. However, in a complex policy landscape success depends on strong coordination, active participation and consensus across partners. Against this background, the webinar brings together insights from national and local levels on the progress of the Deal, its perceived benefits, key challenges and role in the area’s recovery and renewal processes.

To register to attend, please email jayne.ogilvie@strath.ac.uk. A Zoom link will be sent out prior to the meeting.
