How to make use of CLLD under different ESI Funds?

Community-led Local Development beyond EAFRD and EMFF

Båstad, Sweden

Båstad, Sweden

The LEADER method has been a well-established concept in the rural development since the 1990s, but with the start of the 2014-20 programme period it has been extended to other European Structural and Investment Funds in the shape of "Community-led Local Development" (CLLD). The ways in which CLLD can support genuine bottom-up development in collaboration with Funds such as the ERDF and ESF were discussed in Båstad, Sweden on 7-8 December. The event, which brought together Local Action Groups (LAGs), managing authorities and national rural networks from across the EU, was attended by Stefan Kah of EPRC. Presentations and summaries of the financial allocations and implementation of CLLD in Europe can be found here.
