The bioeconomy is taking a larger and larger place in our lives

20 December 2016

Following the successful BioSTEP project exhibition in Glasgow Science Centre, which was held between 18 and 20 October 2016, project partners BIOCOM have put together a new video for the project.

The aim of the video, which includes spots from Stephen Miller of EPRC and project partner Dr Kate Millar, is to explain just what the bioeconomy is, and to highlight the innovative applications of bio-based products. Although many people perceive the bioeconomy as a future aspiration, the video highlights that many goods and products are already in use today, made from sustainable and bio-based materials.

The BioSTEP project, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 initiative, aims to promote a broader awareness of the bioeconomy in Europe.

For more information, go on the BioSTEP project's website.
