EPRC at the annual conference of the Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme in Iceland

Irene McMaster joined the annual conference of the Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme in Akureyri, Iceland on 28 September. The aim of the conference was contribute to the discussion on how cooperation programmes can contribute to economic development in the Arctic.

It took into account the ongoing developments and opportunities in the Arctic and neighbouring regions, and the perspective of the people living there. Projects illustrated concrete examples of Arctic development.

Irene McMaster was involved in a conference panel on the role of European programmes in the Arctic and the benefits of collaborating and a subsequent workshop in operationalising collaboration.
