EPRC supports reforestation project in Uganda

12 August 2013

EPRC aims to compensate for CO2 emissions associated with travel as part of its sustainability policy. From the beginning of 2013, contributions are being made to a carbon-offsetting project approved by the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance and Carbon Fix. For the first six months of 2013, the EPRC offsetting charge equated to 25.25 tonnes of CO2.

EPRC chose to contribute to a reforestation project in Uganda, which combines climate, environmental and social benefits. In addition to employing about 600 people, the project offers free education, nurseries and training opportunities in forestry and associated industries.
