Presentation of Scottish Programming Framework for Economic Development

01 January 2003

On the 16th of March, Laura Polverari gave a presentation on the Scottish institutional and programming framework for economic development, at a seminar organised by IRPET, the regional institute for economic programming of region Toscana, in Florence (Italy).

The seminar dealt with regional programming experiences in Toscana, France and Scotland, and was organised to illustrate the main results of research led and coordinated by IRPET for region Toscana's Programming and Control DG.

Roberto Pagni, of IRPET, delivered an introductory presentation and chaired the session. Other presentations by Albino Caporale (who illustrated the French programming model) and Paolo Baldi (who described the evolution and on-going reforms of regional and sub-regional programming), were followed by a lively debate on future options for economic programming in the region which concluded the seminar.
