Learning the lessons of effective inter-regional cooperation

01 January 2004

EPRC is undertaking a study to examine the lessons of effective cross-border, trans-national and inter-regional cooperation. Under a contract awarded to EPRC by the INTERACT Secretariat in Vienna, a research team led by Sandra Taylor will be assessing the results of all the INTERREG III mid-term evaluations under strands A, B and C carried out across the EU, with a view to identifying 'good practice' approaches to programme management and areas where programming support by INTERACT will be needed in future. Of particular importance is the identification of lessons relevant to the new Member States which are implementing INTERREG programmes for the first time.
