EPRC presentation on Regionalisation and Regional Networks

01 January 2004

On 5 May, Irene McMaster and Martin Ferry gave a presentation on regionalisation and regional development networks as part of the West Coast Seminar Series. The presentation provided a comparative assessment of the evolution of regional economic development networks in Polish Silesia and Moravia Silesia in the Czech Republic and was based on research undertaken as part of an EPRC project funded by the Leverhulme Trust.

The presentation began by tracking the evolution of regional development networks in the two regions and went on to compare the impact of recent processes of regionalisation on the current operation of regional economic development networks. The West Coast Seminar Series is the result of a ten-year collaboration between Glasgow University, Glasgow Caledonian University, Paisley University and the University of Strathclyde.
