EPRC's Irene McMaster presented a paper on 'Evaluation Cultures in the EU Member States' at the conference 'The EU Funds Evaluation: Experience and Opportunities' in Riga, on 3 March 2006.
The conference was organised by the Ministry of Finance of Latvia in its capacity as Structural Funds Managing Authority and formed part of a training project on Structural Fund evaluation. Irene's paper examined the differing evaluation 'cultures' in the EU Member States and the ways in which the Member States have responded to the Structural Fund evaluation requirements.
