On 12 May, Martin Ferry delivered a paper at the first annual Research Forum for the Centre for Russian, Central and East European Studies (CRCEES).
CRCEES is a new inter-institutional Centre of Excellence funded by ESRC, AHRC, HEFCE and SFC. Martin's paper, entitled "EU Structural Funds and New Regional Development Directions in the New Member States of CEE: How Regional, How 'Developmental'", presented a comparative review on the initial experiences of the implementation of SF programmes for regional development in Central and Eastern Europe since 2004.
