EPRC reviewing challenges and opportunities for the North Atlantic

17 November 2009

Dr Irene McMaster has been appointed as an International Expert to the OECD for their territorial review of the North Atlantic Region, which covers Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and the west coast of Norway. The review is assessing a range of challenges facing the North Atlantic countries and regions covering transport bottlenecks, accessibility, the exploitation of maritime resources, education access, innovation, economic diversification and the impact of climate change.

Irene McMaster will be coordinating several reports on these issues as well as contributing to the development of policy recommendations to support economic diversification in the area, particularly in the context of the  North Atlantic Cooperation initiative.
