EPRC presentations to the European Court of Auditors

27 January 2010

Professor John Bachtler led a series of workshops on methodologies for evaluating Structural Funds at the invitation of the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg on 28 January.

As well as meeting with Members of the Court, he made presentations to the various performance audit teams with an interest in Structural Funds, covering the methodological challenges involved in evaluating the Funds and possible topics for future audit.

The presentations drew on EPRC's extensive programme of evaluation work in the field of EU Cohesion policy, most recently involving the ex post evaluation of the European Regional Development Fund in the 2000-06 period, undertaken for the European Commission as well as EPRC input to the Barca Report on the future of Cohesion policy, which can be accessed here.
