EPRC engages in knowledge exchange in Finland on regional innovation

06 September 2010

Dr Sara Davies of EPRC was recently invited to present her research on innovation in peripheral rural areas at two events in Kouvola, Finland.

Sara was a keynote speaker on the theme of innovation and urban-rural linkages at an academic seminar on 23 August, and also discussed her work on innovation in remote areas of Europe at the practitioner-oriented National Innovation Forum on 24 August.

Both events were organised by the Finnish Ministry of the Economy and Labour, Lappeenranta University of Technology and the City of Kouvola. Copies of the presentations can be found on the EPRC mini website on innovation in peripheral areas.
