EPRC at the European Parliament

31 March 2011

Carlos Mendez was an invited speaker at the European Parliament conference 'Sharing Experience: Our Nations and Regions in Cohesion Policy'. Organised by the European Free Alliance parliamentary grouping, the session was chaired by UK MEPs Jill Evans (Wales) and Alyn Smith (Scotland) and included presentations on the regional and local dimension of future Cohesion Policy (Lowri Gwilym, Welsh Local Government Association) and the perspective of sparsely populated, insular and sea regions (Jean-Didier Hache, Executive Secretary Islands Commission CPMR). Carlos' presentation on national and regional perspectives on the post-2013 reform of Cohesion policy drew on EPRC research under the IQ-Net and EoRPA research programmes.
