Informing the design of regional innovation policies

A newly published OECD report on regional innovation policies draws on the work of Professor David Charles who contributed a thematic background report as an input to the OECD review. The OECD publication, Regions and Innovation Policy, reports on a major programme of work sponsored by the European Commission through the Directorate General for Regional Policy and also the Korea Institute of Public Finance (KIPF). The report provides an overview of regional innovation policies, the policy mix and the multi-level governance of innovation policy.
