Discussing regional policy with the Norwegian government

12 March 2012

John Bachtler and Fiona Wishlade presented the results of EPRC research at a series of meetings with officials in the Norwegian Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development in Oslo, on 22 March.

Drawing on research conducted on EPRC's EoRPA research programme (which is part-funded by the Norwegian Government), the presentations focused on recent developments in EU Competition policy and the control of regional aid and the reform of EU Cohesion policy, as well as providing an overview of the state-of-play with regional development and regional policy, and international perceptions of Norway's regional problems.
