EPRC at the Annual PSA Conference in Cardiff

31 March 2013

EPRC had a strong presence in the Annual PSA Conference which was held in Cardiff on 25-27 March. Dr Laura Polverari presented a paper on 'Berlusconi's Longevity and the Stale Italian Political System at a critical juncture: Another Lost Opportunity?' in a panel sponsored by the Italian Politics Specialist Group on 'Parties, Power and Idiosyncrasies of the Berlusconi era and the Future Political Landscape of Italy'.

She also co-organised - together with Professor Jim Newell (Salford University) - and chaired a panel on accountability, performance and legacy of the technocratic Monti Government (also sponsored by the Italian Specialist Politics Group).

Dr Arno Van Der Zwet presented a paper on 'European integration and autonomist parties: a Scottish National Party and Frisian National Party perspective', in the context of a panel on the normalisation of autonomist parties in the EU.
