Perceptions of different constitutional futures for Scotland

21 June 2013

On 19 June, Dr Arno van der Zwet co-presented a paper with Craig McAngus (PhD candidate University of Strathclyde) at an ESRC sponsored AQMEN event 'Through the Public Eye' at the Dynamic Earth Centre in Edinburgh.

The event brought together academics from a range of different disciplines with an interest in the upcoming Scottish independence referendum in September 2014 and allowed them to showcase current research using high quality data from the Scottish Social Attitude Studies that have been conducted over the past 14 years.

All research projects worked together to provide responses to some of the most crucial questions about attitudes towards the constitutional future of Scotland. Arno and Craig's research project examines perceptions of different constitutional futures for Scotland with a particular focus on the impact of national identity and party identification.
