Publication of two new European Policy Research Papers (EPRP)

05 December 2016

EPRC releases two publications its European Policies Research Paper (EPRP) series. These comparative papers were produced in 2016 as part of the EoRPA consortium, and provide practical insights in the field of Cohesion policy and Competition policy, with views to helping policymakers with current implementation and contributing to the debates on the reform of these policies for the next programming period.

  • "Evolution or Revolution? Exploring New Ideas for Cohesion Policy 2020+" by John Bachtler, Carlos Mendez and Fiona Wishlade explores future options for Cohesion policy implementation amidst debates on the post-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework.
  • "Recent developments in Competition policy and regional aid: a slow surrender or pushing against an open door?"  by Fiona Wishlade takes stock of recent changes regarding regional aid maps, aid to large firms in 'c' areas, contributions to the GBER reform in discussion, and investigates on the consequence of Brexit on State aid control.

Please find past EPRPs on the EoRPA website and discover EPRC's lasting commitment to providing evidence for better EU policymaking.
