37th annual EoRPA conference on 2-4 October 2016 at Ross Priory

The 37th annual session of EoRPA gathered 18 participants from the 12 European countries sponsoring the consortium on the south bank of exceptionnally sunny Loch Lomond. EPRC presented four papers on:

  • Regional policy in Europe – New European Territorial Challenges and Regional Policy (presentation by Heidi Vironen & Irene McMaster)
  • Regional Innovation – Innovation as a regional development driver: Necessary shift of policy misdirection? (presentation by Laura Polverari)
  • EU Competition policy – Recent developments in Competition policy and regional aid: a slow surrender or pushing against an open door? (presentation by Fiona Wishlade)
  • EU Cohesion policy – Evolution or Revolution? Exploring new ideas for Cohesion policy 2020 (presentation by John Bachtler).
