Irene McMaster was a speaker at the North Sea Conference in Billund, 14-17 June. Speaking at the start of the conference, Irene’s first presentation focused on opportunities for regional coordination, coordination and collaboration in the North Sea Region, drawing on work carried out for the North Sea Commission. In a subsequent workshop session, she spoke about opportunities and policy challenges in the field of blue growth. Following the end of the conference, Irene went on to present her report ‘the North Sea in Numbers’ to the North Sea Commission’s annual board meeting in Vejle.
