Viktoriya Dozhdeva is a Research Fellow at EPRC. She has a BA in Regional Studies and Foreign Languages from Moscow State Linguistic University, where she studied the influence of European integration processes on Portuguese regional development patterns. She also has an MSc in Social and Political Sciences of the Environment from Radboud University Nijmegen and an MSc in European Spatial Planning and Regional Development from Blekinge Institute of Technology. Additionally, she has professional experience with EU transnational cooperation activities and projects evaluation at the Secretariat of the INTERREG North West Europe programme.

Since joining EPRC in early 2016, Viktoriya’s main research interests are EU Cohesion policy, European territorial cooperation, and regional policy in Portugal. She has worked on projects examining the unfolding cultural and creative potentials of European territories, administrative capacity in EU Cohesion policy, and the impact of Cohesion policy on European identification.
