Frederike Gross has contributed a chapter to a new book on R&D policies in France and other European countries.
Published in French, the book is based on a conference organised by the 'Research Centre for Territorial Decentralisation' (CRDT) in Reims in June 2006. It shows that only an industrial policy giving R&D priority as a key factor of competitiveness via the strong mobilisation of regional actors organised in the form of institutional partnerships will be able to relaunch the French and European economies.
Frederike Gross' contribution provides a summary of the development of innovation policy in European regional policy and in Scotland.
