A new publication by Professor John Bachtler and Dr Sara Davies examines the geography of the crisis in Western Europe and discusses national and regional impacts and policy responses.
The publication is a chapter in a book ' Financial Crisis in Central and Eastern Europe: From Similarity to Diversity' edited by Grzegorz Gorzelak and Chor-Ching Goh, which presents the highly differentiated reaction of individual countries (in East-Central Europe and beyond) to the crisis, the performance of governments and the prospects for the future.
The book chapters are based on papers initially presented at an international seminar organised in September 2009 by the University of Warsaw (EUROREG) and financed by the World Bank.
The publication can be ordered here.
