Laura Polverari of EPRC presented a paper at the 2011 annual APSA meeting, which was held in Seattle on 1-4 September.
The paper - "Italy at 150: Still a Divided Society. Has the Italian State Given Up on the Mezzogiorno?" - was presented as part of a panel organised by the Conference Group on Italian Politics & Society (CONGRIPS), chaired by Professor James L. Newell, of Salford University. Other panellists included Alessandro Cagossi (West Virginia University), Christophe Roux (University of Montpellier) and Elisabetta Cassina Wolff (University of Oslo). Professor Simona Piattoni(Trento University) acted as discussant.
