On 10-11 December, EPRC hosted the third of a series of RSA Cohesion Policy Network workshops. The workshop 'EU Cohesion policy at the crossroads: budget reform, geographical allocations and the performance turn in the 2014-2020 period' was part-funded by the Regional Studies Association and brought together academics from across Europe.
From EPRC, Fiona Wishlade presented the current state of the negotiations of the EU budget for 2014-20 and Dr Martin Ferry presented a paper on conditionalities and policy performance in Structural Funds, co-authored by Prof John Bachtler. Finally, Carlos Mendez discussed the promise and perils of the performance turn in EU Cohesion policy.
