The European Policies Research Centre (EPRC) in the School of Government & Public Policy is seeking to appoint a Reader/Professor in European Regional Development Policy. You will be an acknowledged expert and research leader in the field of regional development policy and will play a leading role in a new phase of policy research and income generation in EPRC.
This will involve developing new, self-sustaining programmes of externally funded, policy-relevant and comparative research in the field of European economic development, developing and leading teams of researchers, and engaging in relevant professional and knowledge exchange activities to influence public policy at European and national levels.
The post will also involve contributing to a future Masters programme on regional policy and participating in the management of the Centre. You will be required to divide your time between the main EPRC base in Glasgow and a new, secondary base being established at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
The post requires an energetic, flexible, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual with a keen interest in the design and practical implementation of policy and experienced in engaging with policymaker and academic audiences across Europe.
