EPRC perspectives on Structural Funds in the New Member States

At an international conference organised by the Polish Ministry of Finance in Cracow (20-21 November 2006) on 'Experiences of Paying Authorities in the new Member States', John Bachtler provided an expert perspective on the strategic and institutional contexts for financial management and audit of Structural Funds in the 2004-06 and 2007-13 periods, highlighting the specific problems of human resources and financial absorption. <p> Douglas Yuill made the keynote presentation at the Second Evaluation Conference organised by the Polish Ministry of Regional Development and Polish Agency for Regional Enterprise on 22 November 2006 in Warsaw. The Conference was on the theme 'Ex ante evaluation as a tool for improving strategic management in public administration'. Douglas Yuill presented a paper written with John Bachtler entitled 'Evaluating Cohesion Policy: The Development of the Ex Ante Evaluation of the Structural Funds'.
