His presentation 'Building on the Legacy? - the Economic Impact of Regional Selective Assistance in Great Britain 2000-2004' discussed the highly differentiated results of a recent evaluation of the instrument's effects in England, Scotland and Wales. Mark Hart gave a synthesis of the evaluation evidence and considered current research to improve the assessment of additionality, before concluding with a brief look at a recent UKTI R&D Impact Study.
