EPRC hosts study visit by Chinese regional policy practitioners

On 22 September, EPRC hosted a study visit by 17 officials from the State Information Centre, the office of the leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, and provincial Information Centres. The visit to EPRC was part of a wider training mission, organised by the Sino-German economic and structural reform programme of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), to explore European and Latin American experience in monitoring and evaluating regional policy. The visit to EPRC involved presentations from Irene McMaster and Carlos Mendez and discussions on domestic and EU regional policy approaches and monitoring EU Cohesion policy. Additional presentations from ESEP Ltd focussed on monitoring EU Cohesion policy in Scotland.
