Brazilian State Secretaries and senior government officials visit EPRC

EPRC hosted for the second time a delegation of senior Brazilian Government officials on 26 March 2012. Brazilian delegates attended a full day seminar organised by EPRC on "The evaluation of regional policy: austerity, rigour and results-orientation". Opened by Strathclyde's Principal, Professor Jim McDonald, the seminar included a number of presentations by EPRC staff and a guest presentation by Kat Feldinger from the Scottish Government. The day also comprised a presentation of 'The economic and social policy of income de-concentration in Brazil: policy, evaluation and results' by Sergio Castro, National Secretary for Regional Development at the Federal Ministry for National Integration, and Paulo de Martino Jannuzzi, National Secretary of Evaluation and Information Management at the Federal Ministry of Social Development and Fight Against Hunger.
