EPRC Seminar: Programme Development and Ex ante evaluation in 2013+

On 18 April, EPRC hosted a seminar by Alec Fraser from Fraser Associates. Based on his work as an evaluator, Alec gave a review of programme development and ex ante evaluation over the past programming periods. From an emphasis on strategic programming from the late 1990s, EU requirements have become increasingly prescriptive, notably across the Lisbon and EU 2020 initiatives. It remains to be seen what scope there will be for programmes to reflect the diversity of regional development issues post-2013.
